With Seven Years Of Giving Back, Non-Profit Organization Wooter Africa Dishes Out Big Assist In Tanzania

Students at the Kambarage Primary School in the southern part of Tanzania celebrate with new uniforms and balls for their soccer and basketball teams provided by Wooter Africa and Wooter Apparel.

When it comes to making an impact and a difference in Africa, Wooter Africa keeps on counting up wins thanks to Wooter Apparel.

Last week, Wooter Africa had a chance to give back in East Africa at an event which took place in the town of Mtwara at Kambarage Primary School in the southern part of Tanzania. A 2007 alum of the school, Wooter Africa CEO Hamiid Suleiman, helped lead the ceremony and was on hand to present boy and girl students with two pairs of fully customized uniforms for soccer and basketball plus two soccer balls and one basketball, all donated to the school sponsor Wooter Africa.

This is the continuation of Wooter Africa's goal of providing essential uniforms and sports equipment through their community outreach program that has been assisting and supporting schools in Africa since 2016. Even now seven years after starting their civic service program and with a deep passion for sports, Wooter Africa strives to do more for youth sports in the area by equipping them with durable and comfortable custom made sportswear from Wooter Apparel.

Even off of the basketball court, Wooter Africa CEO Hamiid Suleiman is counting up victories in Africa through his generous community outreach programs.

"They were us when we were them. This is the least we can do to help students and the school that made us who we are today,” said Suleiman on the chance to return to his alma mater and hand out uniforms to the students.

“I think about the generations of young athletes in Africa and how we want to make it a better place for our children, and our children's children so that they know it's a better world for them. I'm grateful that my fellow alums and myself were able to make this possible and an unforgettable experience.”

After the Coronavirus pandemic halted sports throughout Africa over the last two years, it’s exciting to see students at the Kambarage Primary School get back do doing what they love to do: playing sports. That’s another big assist and win for Wooter Africa!
