Outfitted In Wooter Apparel, Ballin 4 Peace's Road To Peace Tour Blasted Off In Houston
/Every year for the past six years Wooter Apparel has been the go-to brand for non-profit organization, Ballin 4 Peace, when it comes to custom designing and creating uniforms for their year-round sports charity events.
From outfitting local kids groups, celebrities, and athletes alike who are focused on giving back to their community through sports, Ballin Peace continues to stand out and make a difference on the basketball court, flag football field, baseball and softball diamond, and even the bowling alley.
No matter the outreach event or occasion, Wooter Apparel is proud to customize colorful and comfortable jerseys and uniforms exclusively and uniquely made for Ballin 4 Peace. This month in Houston, Texas at Texas Southern University is just another example of how Wooter and Ballin 4 Peace have teamed-up to look and feel good while making a lasting impact by spreading peace through sports.
It was the perfect way to help tip-off Ballin 4 Peace’s Road To Peace tour, with Houston headlining a five stop journey that also includes Miami, Atlanta, Sacramento, and New York, and the opportunity to hit the court wearing Wooter.
On the campus of HBCU’s own Texas Southern University, Ballin 4 Peace founder Haron Hargrave held the 6th Annual Charity Basketball Game on the on Saturday, May 7th with festivities including a free youth basketball clinic, a youth game, Slam Dunk contest, 3-Point contest, and a Celebrity Basketball game. Sponsored by Wooter Apparel, JUNK Brand Headbands, and Real Fans Real Talk, the Charity Basketball Game featured urban youth and community outreach program, Team Usual Suspects, led by Larry Walker, Jr. and an impressive squad of young local athletes.
“Over the last two years due to Covid-19 we have been limited as a nonprofit organization to traveling and hosting our signature charity basketball games. That’s what makes this 6th anniversary of our Ballin 4 Peace Charity Basketball game and our Road To Peace summer tour so special,” said Ballin 4 Peace founder, Haron Hargrave.
“Any time we have an event like this, we can always count on Wooter Apparel to be there. Their gear not only looks and feels amazing, but it gives our charity and celebrity games that professional look that only Wooter can provide. It’s no wonder why so many youth, college, and pro teams and non-profit organizations like ours turn to them to make their jerseys and uniforms.”
Joining Haron Hargrave on the floor, a star-studded line-up traveled from around the country just to take part in the Charity Game, 3-point shootout, and Slam Dunk contest including former NBA guard Rafer Alston who coached one of the youth teams, current NBA G-League standout guard Shawndre Jones, and a group of dunkers – Gabe Dunks, Javen Jure, Sir Issac, and eventual contest winner, Jordan Southerland – who jumped out of the gym and helped put on a show.
Officially draped in Wooter Apparel, the start to the Road To Peace Tour did not disappoint and the countdown to another unforgettable charity game is already underway.
