Donning Wooter Apparel at the Rick Case Arena at Nova Southeastern University, former NFL wide receiver Chad “Ochocinco” and Floyd “Money” Mayweather came together to kick-off a Super Bowl weekend of celebrity and charity basketball games in Fort Lauderdale and Miami.

Chalk up two big touchdowns that did not come courtesy of Patrick Mahomes and the Kansas City Chiefs.

With Super Bowl weekend officially in the books in Miami, Wooter Apparel concluded an impressive two day run of celebrity and charity basketball games headlined by former NFL star wide receiver Chad “Ochocinco” Johnson and legendary boxing champion, Floyd “Money” Mayweather, with Wooter designing and creating the colorful customized basketball jerseys, uniforms, and warm-ups for both events.

“Ochocinco” hosted his charity basketball game dubbed the “Celebrity Super Slam” at Rick Case Arena on the campus of Nova Southeastern University in Fort Lauderdale, Florida presented by SunTrust and Optimal Health Solutions. Having played for the Cincinnati Bengals during 10 years of his illustrious 12-year NFL career, Wooter Apparel paid homage to the Bengals with a blend of black and orange uniforms and warm-ups complete with Bengal stripes and sublimation printing.

“I’m still 85. It’s a great thing 10 years removed from the game to still be identified as such,” Johnson told Geoff Hobson, Senior Writer with the Cincinnati Bengals.

“85 is everywhere as Ochocinco”.

“The Celebrity Super Slam event is an excellent opportunity to bring sports fans and the local community together to take part in the Super Bowl excitement,” said Wendy McSweeney, chief inclusion officer at SunTrust (now Truist).

“It not only provides an accessible option for people to participate in the weekend festivities, but the proceeds also benefit local children in the South Florida area.”

This year’s event benefited the Irie Foundation, a Miami-based non-profit organization that empowers at-risk youth to lead productive lives through “cultural experiences, educational initiatives mentorship programs and scholarship opportunities”. While NFL Hall of Famer Terrell Owens, former NFL great Simeon Rice, Demarcus Lawrence of the Dallas Cowboys, and Janoris Jenkins of the New Orleans Saints attended the event, former NBA star Tracy McGrady helped steal the show by picking up the win serving as guest head coach.

Floyd Mayweather was also in attendance sitting courtside at The Celebrity Super Slam and after competing during Pro Bowl weekend at the 4th Annual Celebrity Basketball Game hosted by former Tennessee Titans running back, Chris Johnson, “Money” laced them up once again on Saturday night’s celebrity game presented by BoomCups and Bang Energy Drink.

Inspired by the Miami Heat’s city edition uniforms and featuring a Kobe Bryant/Mamba tribute logo, players ranging from DJ Clue, to former Miami Hurricanes basketball standout Jack McClinnton, and former NFL big man Michael Lockley, donned black and white uniforms with hot pink and vibrant teal trim on the court at the Watsco Center on the campus of the University of Miami. Benefiting organizations like D Up On Cancer, the Irie Foundation, the Professional Football Players Mothers Association, and GVNG, the celebrity and charity game packed out the gym and turned heads the night before the Kansas City Chiefs and San Francisco 49ers hit the field.

It was the perfect way to close out a memorable Super Bowl weekend in Miami by throwing on some Wooter Apparel and giving back on the basketball court.
